Amar Suryadevara, MD, FACS
Dr. Amar Suryadevara is a double-board certified facial plastic surgeon. A native of central New York, he graduated high school from Christian Brothers Academy. He then received a Bachelors of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Syracuse University, where he was selected as a Barry M. Goldwater scholar and a Remembrance scholar.
Dr. Surya completed his medical degree and a 5-year residency in otolaryngology and head and neck surgery at SUNY Upstate Medical University. He was selected for fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Washington, where he spent a year with world renown mentors, honing his facial plastic surgery skills.
Since 2009, Dr. Surya has been on faculty at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where he is currently the Interim Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. He also holds the positions of Residency Program Director, and Co-Director of the Facial Plastics Fellowship Program. He has performed over 6,000 facial surgical cases and has been identified as one of Castle Connolly's Top Doctors since 2015.
Dr. Surya specializes in both cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries. He performs nose surgery (rhinoplasty), facelift surgery, eye lid surgery (blepharoplasty), ear re-shaping (otoplasty), and Mohs reconstructive surgery. In addition, he offers non-surgical facial rejuvenation, including botox, dermal fillers, microneedling, and laser treatments.
